2008-2009 Membership Benefits

Arts Wellington's membership for the 2008-2009 year will provide the following benefits:

  • Arts Partners Network invitations - these informal meetings provide those working in arts marketing and administration roles the opportunity to network with others in the sector. Hosted by Arts Partner organisations and facilitated by Arts Wellington, the focus is on making connections with sector colleagues and updating others on your organisation's news.
  • Strategic Marketing Network invitations - providing members the opportunity to share marketing strategies, best practice, case studies, ideas and knowledge, to identify opportunities for collaboration and for informal professional development.
  • 'Opportunities' e-bulletins - a weekly email bulletin that highlights current and upcoming activities within the sector, as well as job opportunities, event invitations and more.
  • Quarterly Forum invitations - each quarter members are invited to meet with the Arts Wellington Board and other members to discuss and table sector priorities. Guests are invited to update or engage with the membership on current issues.
  • Link to Arts Wellington website - each member will be given a direct link to their website from the 'Our Members' page. It is intended that over time these links will be upgraded to member profile pages, thereby profiling the Wellington region's arts, culture and heritage sector in one place.
  • Voting rights - Arts Wellington's Annual General Meeting is held in November, at this meeting members can nominate and vote new trustees onto the Arts Wellington Trust Board.
Future Projects

In addition to the above activities, Arts Wellington will be working on your behalf with funding partners and additional sponsors to secure future funding for the following projects:

  • The Arts Monitor audience research programme (redeveloped) Year 1 data collection
  • A third staging of our successful Big Look-See collaborative audience development initiative
  • Development of an online sector Arts Schedule
  • Wellington-hosted Arts Marketing Symposium - fuel for future arts marketing
  • Mentoring and professional development programme
  • Lobbying/Networking Key Influencers programme of partnership building

Arts Wellington believes each of these future projects will provide significant benefits to the arts sector in Wellington and is enthusiastically pusuing funding and partnerships to bring them to fruition. At this stage the progress of these future projects is dependent on securing funding over and above the membership income (and accordingly may also involve an additional participation fee in the future).
